Changes in Washington County Methodist pastorates
Two changes in pastorates were announced at the Baltimore Annual Conference. Rev. George H. Bennett moved to Baltimore, succeeded by Rev. R. L. Mowbray, and Rev. Lee Williams was appointed star at Smithsburg to succeed Rev. John W. Webb. The conference lists appointments across districts and notes eight ordinations, with names of new elders, deacons, and deaconesses. Washington County lies in Frederick district under Rev. E. T. Mowbray.

Church Society Raises Tidy Sum
Zion Reformed Church Society members who were given fifty cents each last January to raise church funds reported 505.73 last night, with 17 members still to report. Thieves Searched After Chicken Coop Entry Attempt
Residents on East Franklin Street and police hunted last night for a robber believed to have tried to enter Prof. Frank B. Stouffer's chicken coop at 134 East Franklin Street. Disturbances were heard about 10 pm and again a half hour later as bystanders saw a man jump a fence, but no suspect was found.
