Senior Wins Scholarship At Shepherd College

Raymond OG Waldkort ter announces the Raymond Baby scholarship for education to Jackie J Rohrer, Boonsboro High School class of 1964. The $150 freshman prize honors academic achievement leadership tests citizenship and recommendations. Rohrer, son of Mr and Mrs Austin K Rohrer of Sharpsburg Route One, plans a teaching career in physical education. He joins Gloria K Line Terry L Smith and Courtney D Beard as Boonsboro alumni who hold the Raymond Baby scholarship at Shepherd College. Rohrer is among the top ten in a class of 164 seniors and starred in basketball football and baseball in Tri-State League play.

First mushrooms found along Dual Highway this spring

Mrs Jase Hoffman and Mr Lean reported the season's first county mushrooms along the Dual Highway this morning. The small mushrooms were spotted where Mrs Hoffman gathers them annually and she expects them to grow larger as spring progresses. She plans to use them in cooking.
