Herbert Logsden was elected president of the Hagerstown Junior Chamber of Commerce at a meeting held last night at Hotel Alexander. He had served as first vice-president in 1943. The board chose James A. Wales Jr as first vice-president, John Colton as second vice-president, Paul D. Horst as secretary, and Rev. G. Awbrey Yours as treasurer.

Herman L. Mills, local merchant, was re elected president of the Hagerstown Chamber of Commerce at a regular board meeting held yesterday at Hotel Alexander. The 1944 board was reorganized with Max C. Fiery named second vice president. Charles F. Strole was elected the sixteenth director, and other officers including Donovan R. Beachley, Hubert H. Schindel, Joseph B. Reynolds, and Paul D. Horst were noted in the reorganization and continuations.

Bern April 4 The Federal Council provided 2000,000 francs about $46,000 for relief of victims of the American accidental bombing of Schaffhausen. Plans to combat unemployment due to factory destruction were also started. Swiss radio reported a second town Hallau near Schaffhausen was bombed but damage was minor.
WOODSBORO Md April 4 a 22 year old man George M Burdette of near Bridgeville was electrocuted when the derrick of a well drilling machine he and Franklin Easterday also of near Bridgeville were raising touched power lines carrying 3300 volts. Easterday escaped with minor injuries. Medical examiner Dr R W Baer said Easterday survived thanks to rubber soled shoes. Burdette died within 15 minutes after the shock.
