Opponents Seek Dissolution Of Standard Oil By New Jersey Courts

In Trenton New Jersey on June 27 counsel for George Rice of Marietta Ohio filed a bill in Chancery seeking dissolution of Standard Oil Company a New Jersey corporation. The suit alleges illegal combining violates federal antitrust laws and state decisions on monopolies and asks the court to dissolve the company and distribute assets with a receiver appointed.
