Flames Devour Kern City Hotel in Early Morn Fire
Supt Kirk investigates a deadly Kern City hotel fire that left multiple corpses in the ruins. Early reports say room No 3 started the blaze from a lamp, spreading rapidly through the Central hotel building. Injured include Tom Burns with a crushed ankle and a man named Belau with a burned hand. Jessie Pierce and L C Burager are guest disputes with Burager reportedly missing. Firefighters from Bakersfield aided Kern City, fire damage tallied around 2500 for the Central and accompanying shops. Matilda Caselle dies in San Francisco. her body shipped home for burial.
