Tehachipa Tribune notes haying has begun and workers are scarce with good wages for willing men. Clark P. Streater of the USDA visited Tehachipa Valley for several days for ornithological study. Fred Frickert Jr. of Bear Valley suffered a painful ankle injury on Tuesday when a colt caused the accident.
The Delano area shows rising fruit production and investor interest as irrigation expands. Local projects include the Semi-Tropic Colony, Kern County ventures, and foreign capital backing the Semi-Tropic Orchard and Vineyard Co and Comstock Orchard and Vineyard Co.
