Washington June 25 1903 Secretary Hay sent Simon Wolf a note about a petition to be sent to the Russian government through the U S embassy in St Petersburg. The President will transmit the petition drafted by B Nai B Rith leaders noting hopes for relief for persecuted Russian Jews. Signature collection by leading citizens continues likely over about two weeks.
