Special from Haiti reports Marines repelling a night assault at Guantanamo as the Texas Marblehead and launches hammered the attackers with rapid fire guns. In Havana, General Blanco sent two vessels to lure Americans toward the forts. one gunboat pursued and returned unharmed. The fleet remains off Key West with no damage reported.
