Two Killed in Wreck Near Red Bank New Jersey
Two passengers were killed and thirty injured when the Central Railroad of New Jersey Atlantic City flyer derailed after colliding with an open switch near Red Bank New Jersey. Victims were Geo Van Duezer and Otto Mesca, both of New York. The smoking car was torn in two as the forward section left the rails.

Governor Swanson ordered state militia to East Oliver Virginia to guard a jailed African American suspected of assaulting Mrs. Barnes and Miss Powell near Kingston Somer County on the eastern shore of the Maryland river. Lost on Bar A Vessel Wrecked by Wave Two Swept Out to Sea
Eureka June 12 A gasoline schooner Corinthian owned by Walter Coggeshal was wrecked attempting to cross Humboldt bar in a heavy sea. Two men died including University of California student Andrew McCarrey. several others were rescued or later accounted for as life savers fought to reach the stricken crew aboard the Newsboy wreck and haul them to shore. The ship lies on the beach between shipyards and New Era park. Captain Atwater was eventually saved after dramatic rescue operations ending near dawn.

In Stockton California on June 12 the defense in Mrs. Ledoux�s murder case pushed a theory that A. N. McVicar was alive when placed in the trunk. Cross examination of the autopsy surgeon suggested McVicar may have been dead when put in the trunk, while bruises on the head are now argued to have occurred as the body was dropped in alive. Railroad rate bill sent to conference by House
