At 7:30 a.m. in the Episcopal church guild hall Walter Sloan married Miss Eleanor Thomas by Rev. Edward Morgan. The couple will tour the coast after their ceremony. Mrs Sloan is well known locally and Mr Sloan works for B F Brooks. Engagement announced for James M Hunter and Miss Mary Hutchins with wedding planned June 25 at the Methodist church on Railroad Avenue and H Street. Reception at the brides parents home. The couple will visit Catalena. Hunter is with Hunt and Hunter. Hutchins taught in local schools. Also engaged are Mary Dukes and John W Canady. Wedding set for June 26 at the bride’s parents’ home.
