Train wreck near Hutchinson injures many in Kansas
A Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific east bound train derailed south of Hutchinson Kansas. Over twelve people were injured, some seriously, likely due to spreading rails. The most serious hurt was the Pullman conductor. Injured passengers included Mrs. C. G. Stevenson, Mrs. E. M. Lecerine, Lee Lecerine, Charles B. Frederick, and others. Train was assembled at El Paso, Texas. Markets: May wheat near unchanged at 78 1/2 cents. Wool in St. Louis mostly steady with values varying by grade.
