San Diego reports over half an inch in last night’s rain, 2.32 inches for the storm and 5.02 for the season, the best season rainfall in years though the back country sees little. Santa Ana valley records 0.81 inches since yesterday morning and a 2 inch storm total, with farmers optimistic about ongoing rain.

Earthquake Devastates Andijan Town in Asiatic Russia

An earthquake in Andijan, central Asia, killed three officials, two soldiers, and about 150 natives including many children. It injured 300 natives and 17 soldiers, destroyed 9000 native houses and 130 Russian residences. Mrs. George Minnemaker and relatives were visiting in the area.
