President of Teamsters Union Involved in a Conspiracy
Chicago December 1 Sensational evidence opened in the trial of Cornelius Shea president of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters for alleged conspiracy in the 1905 teamsters strike. Albert Young president of the United Teamsters of America testified that $1500 funded by Garment Workers and channeled through Noren was intended to spur a sympathetic strike. Young said Shea promised to back the strike if funds were raised. he kept part for himself and noted plans to “make good in the morning.”
