Winslow Pleads to Murder Charge in Superior Court

Death of Stephen Reif in Bakersfield
Stephen Reif died Saturday evening in the County hospital after a three month illness from lung troubles. Born July 4, 1860 in Austria Hungary he served in the army then moved to the United States and enlisted in the Sixth Cavalry. He settled in Bakersfield in 1890 and lived there ever since. The funeral was held this afternoon from Niederaur's.
