Juneau City Council will read for the first time a one percent sales tax ordinance at a special 8 p.m. meeting in City Hall. City Attorney Howard Stabler prepared the measure after a Friday motion by Councilman J. P. Christensen, passed unanimously to draft the ordinance to fund bonded debt. The ordinance requires three readings and voter ratification at a special election.
