Charles Denton 68 longtime Fairbanks Hotel manager died from pneumonia and a heart attack in Fairbanks Alaska on May 8. A native of Newburgh North Carolina he came to Alaska 33 years ago after stints in Nome and the Iditarod. Survived by his Seattle widow and a daughter in San Francisco he was a member of the Elks lodge.
