Four men robbed the Lafayette jewelry store at Second and Pine in Seattle at nine this morning. They bound and gagged proprietor S. M. Feldman and clerk Miss Nettie Goldman, escaping with about ten thousand dollars of jewelry including forty diamond rings, many watches, and eight bar pins. Feldman, while removing stock from the safe, asked if it was a joke. a robber struck him with a pistol handle.

Seattle Officers Arrested in Federal Prohibition Sweep
Seattle March 25 Federal prohibition agents arrested Lieut Roy Olmstead and Sergeant Thomas Clark of the police force along with nine others for violation of prohibition laws. Authorities seized seven automobiles containing 100 cases of whiskey at Meadowville. A launch leaving the scene was fired upon as liquor allegedly arrived from Canada. Chief Joel F Warren dismissed Olmstead and Clark and an inquiry into other officers is expected.

Shipwrecked Scandia Crew Arrives in Cordova
The cannery tender Sunset under Captain O Hofstad arrived at Cordova with 16 shipwrecked crew members from the halibut boat Scandia. Under Juneau customs orders, the U S Government will fund care here and return the men to Seattle on the first southbound passenger boat.
