At Gen Wood headquarters in St Paul it is claimed he carried every county in the Minnesota Republican presidential preference primaries yesterday. It is also said Wood delegates will control the state convention to be held here Saturday.
In St. Paul on March 16 the latest returns from the state primary show Gen. Wood with twelve thousand six hundred twenty seven votes, Hiram W. Johnson eight thousand five hundred and seventeen, Herbert Hoover four thousand eighty six, and Gov. Frank O. Lowden three thousand six hundred ten. Hoover was not an avowed candidate and his supporters used stickers to record votes for him.
The Brooklyn Republican organization decided to support Gen Wood for the Presidential nomination and plans to deliver him with up-State supporters ten or more of New York's delegates to the National convention.
Portland report says Senator Miles Poindexter's headquarters closed and Oregon conceded to General Wood for the Republican presidential nomination. Wood will campaign in the state in April.
Washington March 16 Gen Wood receives a two months leave of absence to campaign for the presidency. Secretary Baker says Wood may wear civilian clothes during the leave. Leave expires before the Republican National Convention convenes June 8 in Chicago.
Federal Judge Neterer issued a removal order sending Christian Tjosevig and George Rowe to New York to face indictments for using the mails to defraud in connection with an Alaska mining scheme. Tjosevig locator of the claims and owner of Tjosevig Kennecott Copper Company with properties in Copper River Valley Alaska.
Spokane March 16 President Short of the Washington State Federation of Labor condemned the Kansas Industrial Court law and deprecated the Loyal Legion of Loggers and Lumbermen during a speech at the International Timberworker's convention yesterday.

With the vacancy unfilled Frank L Polk, acting secretary, is prohibited by law from further acting. Senate rejection of Bainbridge Colby blocks passport signings and leaves the department technically headless.
Seattle mayor removes Thomas Murphine as Pub Lic Utilities chief and directs RE D O'Brien to take over. Murphine's resignation had been accepted by former Mayor Fitzgerald and will take effect with successor's appointment. Caldwell plans restructuring of the municipal street car system.
The Interior Department sets production royalties from 33 1/3 to 12 1/2 percent on oil land leases under the claims relief action of the land leasing bill. Most lands withdrawn from entry in proven fields are now operated under the claims subject to the royalty.
A Texas force has been ordered to the border to hold oil lands in the dispute with Oklahoma. The commander is instructed to surrender the lands only to a decree from the U.S. Supreme Court.
On March 16 it was announced that thirty undesirable aliens, captured in various parts of the state, will soon depart for the Atlantic Coast for deportation to their native lands.
St Paul promoter reports Mike Gibbons has been offered a limited round bout with European champion Georges Carpentiere pending talks with Jack Dempsey for the world title. Strong American public interest suggests Gibbons may accept to see the Frenchman in action.
Washington dispatch reports Assistant Interior Secretary John W Hallowell resigns to aid Herbert Hoover in the American Relief Administration. Alexander V Vogelsang will replace him, raising Alaskaists fears of reduced attention. Vogelsang, from San Francisco, was a former lawyer with ties to Walla Walla Washington.

Washington March 16 William Martin Williams of Alabama has been nominated by President Wilson to be Commissioner of Internal Revenues in a move reported from the capital. The nomination highlights Williams reference to tax administration and federal revenue leadership.
In Seattle on March 16 two armed men robbed R E Stafford cashier of the Internal Revenue Office in the Postoffice building. They forced him into the vault and took twenty thousand dollars in currency from the income tax rush last night. Police have a good description and are seeking suspects as the city searches.
Seattle detectives have identified the men who robbed the Internal Revenue office this morning and recovered twenty thousand dollars in cash. Police call it an inside job.
Seattle March 16 The old Bay view Brewery building once used as a sawmill since prohibition went into effect in this state was destroyed by fire last night. The loss is estimated at thirty thousand dollars.
Seattle March 16 State Republican Chairman Walker named the advisory committee to draft a tentative platform for submission to the convention at Bellingham. Members include Charles Hubbard of Spokane Mrs H A M Bonar of Seattle and Judge Myers of Seattle.
Jim London of Greece defeated Salvadore Chevalier of France in a catch as catch can match in New York lasting thirty six minutes. A large crowd witnessed the exhibition.
In New York on March 16 Earl Craddock, the former wrestling champion of the world, defeated challenger Strangler Lewis before a club audience. The result ends Lewis's bid for a title comeback as Craddock claimed a decisive victory.
Berlin reports Director General Kapp expected to resign while Von Hindenburg counsels withdrawal. Revolt spreads as Ebert's government refuses negotiation and calls for unconditional surrender. A general strike disrupts Berlin with deaths in Charlottenburg and widespread hardship across areas under Kapp and Ebert control.
Washington believes the Ebert government will be restored in Germany. Col. Edward Davis, American Military Attache in Berlin, says the revolution is not as serious as first reported.
Dispatches from Copenhagen report civil war has erupted in Germany with troops clashing with civilian guards. In Hamburg about thirty people including women and children are killed, and in Stagnitz near Berlin fifteen die with many wounded as battles unfold across the country.
Washington March 16 The Navy Department bids for fuel oil covering less than one fifth of five million barrels were received and prices quoted are more than double the government’s current contract price. Secretary Daniels said he will press for an adequate supply at reasonable rates for warships.
The House approved a bill authorizing a grain corporation to sell five million barrels of flour on long credits to the governments of Poland Austria and Armenia. In Lincoln Nebraska Gen Pershing's name was placed on the Republican presidential primary ballot.
Geneva March 16 Premier Bauer minister of national defense in President Ebert's cabinet says the new German government aims to stop demobilization under the peace treaty and to halt destruction of war material. Bauer cites Gen Luettwitz claiming Germany should begin preparing for a new war at once.
Berlin reports say the counter revolution nears end and President Ebert may soon resume control. Dr Kapp offers to let Ebert stay as president if he accepts a cabinet of experts and quick elections for the Prussian Reichstag and National Assembly, with an imperial president vote to follow. Ebert reportedly refused to resume negotiations.
German sources claim a Soviet Republic has been proclaimed in Bavaria and vows allegiance to no other government. The claim describes a shift in control as officials report a new regime aligned with Soviet authority.
