Paper Making Plant Program Pushed by Cameron-Chandler Interests
A. J. Ela, engineer in charge, announced that construction on the Jumean pulp and paper plant project will begin this year. The big power plant at Snettisham Inlet is expected to start before fall, with preliminary work already planned. Ela will conduct winter and snow conditions studies across the pass between Taku Inlet and Speel River, leading to a 12 to 15 man transmission line survey from Speel River to Duncan. Plans include starting punnier drilling and potential lake storage without dams for several years. Kinzie, consulting engineer, expects to visit Juneau next June for a progress survey, with J. Cameron returning to represent the syndicate.

Admiralty coal brought here on gasboat Woodrow
