Former Klondiker George A Kendall Dies Penniless in Seattle
George A Kendall 83 died February 26 in an illn al escent home and will be eulogized by Alas ka Yukon Pioneers at a funeral March 9 in Seattle. Kendall went to the Klondike in 1897 and later mined for gold in Nome and Fairbanks, living mostly in Alaska before settling in Michigan. Surviving sons George Walter and Kenneth, all of Michigan, attend the service. Kendall was born in Carmel Maine and practiced law after graduating Michigan State College.
