A test broadcast by a Lockheed Electra of Pacific Alaska Airways was received by RCA at Point Reyes California between 8 30 and 9 00 am. The experiment featured a new long range short wave transmitter installed in the Electra with pilot W J Barrows and co pilot Murray Stuart. A later morning test yielded poor results and another test is planned for 4 pm with a Gov John W Troy talk tentatively set for 11 am tomorrow.

Last Rites for Mrs Phillips Held for Superintendent Wife
Mrs A B Phillips wife of the Juneau public schools superintendent died Thursday after a severe fall in St Ann's Hospital. Funeral at Northern Light Presbyterian Church at two pm will be conducted by Rev John A Glasse. Cremation to Seattle follows. Son Robert 10 to stay with Mrs R J Sommers. Survivors include relatives in Wells Minnesota who brought her to the Territory 18 years ago. Pallbearers listed.

Three Killed in Attempt to Break Prison and Wounded
