Chicago Mayor Anton Cermak Dies From Wound After Shooting
Anton J. Cermak, mayor of Chicago wounded Feb 15 by Giuseppe Zangara during the Roosevelts assassination attempt, died at 6 57 this morning in Miami. Gangrene developed in the lung, family and friends were at his bedside. State Attorney Vernon Hawthorne said Zangara will be indicted on a first degree murder charge. Cermak's body to be taken to Chicago by train for burial Wednesday.
