The Mount McKinley docked at the Alaska Steamship Company pier at 10 a m with 95 passengers, 11 ending at Juneau. Purser Hickman noted many passengers were women and children. Murderer Faints When Sentenced in Arkansas
Jester Brockelhurst fainted after being sentenced to die in the electric chair on August 27 for the murder of Victor Gates of Little Rock. A jury, which deliberated 22 minutes, found him guilty.
