Fire Destroys Old Home at Windham Bay
Fire yesterday morning destroyed the home of A B Calhoun at Windham Bay. The old log cabin, one of the oldest in Southeast Alaska, burned completely. Calhoun saved only his stamp collection and guns. Mine Fire At Healy Brought Under Control
Underground fire at Healy River Coal Corporation in Santrana four miles from Healy was brought under control and will be extinguished soon.
