Flash Floods Force Families From Homes
Torrential spring rains caused flash floods across about twenty communities in northwestern Pennsylvania and Ohio, driving over 100 families from their homes and derailing a passenger train injuring eight people. A washed out roadbed near Cambridge Pennsylvania derailed a Pullman car from an Erie Railroad New York to Chicago train. None of the eight injured was seriously hurt. Fifty families were displaced at Springville.

Parachute Rescue Teams Organized for Alaska Duty
