Officials say he may have force landed off route in the San Joaquin Valley and a rumor ties him to actress Toby Wing.
Seward Alaska Dec 31 Mount Tulik on Umnak Island is erupting according to a report carried by the West Alaska mail boat Starr. The warning comes from the remote west coast area and notes active volcanic activity near the island.

His death follows years in Alaska with earlier work as a bartender and prospector. Funeral arrangements pend.
Manila December 31 Constabulary men have shot and killed the long sought bandit Chieftain Teodoro Asedillo and two companions near the village of Caldon in Tayabas Province. Advices received here confirm the operation.
In Yakima Washington on December 31 Jas per Hoisian aged 30 of Zillah was killed by an auto last night. The driver C R McCredy was exonerated.

Alaska Delegate Anthony J. Dimond mailed his formal declaration of candidacy to Juneau stating his run for re election on the Democratic ticket subject to April primaries. Dimond notified the Wrangell Democratic Divisional Convention of his candidacy and said his filing would be completed soon. The Valdez attorney was first elected to Congress in 1932 and re elected in 1934 amid strong support.
