Skagway Victim Logan Buried After White Pass Accident
Logan, 36, a machinist for the White Pass and Yukon Railway, is buried in Skagway after a December 26 incident when a Jordan spreader overturned following failed ice clearing. Survived by his wife, four children, parents, siblings, and in laws. funeral held at Presbyterian church with Fraternal Order of Eagles and pallbearers listed. The accident occurred near the White Pass railroad line after the spreader separated from a helper engine and rolled down the mountainside, injuring crew and stopping at the Glaciel Creek station for medical aid before Logan died en route to the White Pass hospital.
