It seems almost certain that the Indian Jackson his wife son and another Indian who left on a hunting trip aboard his sloop weeks ago have been drowned. A returning party found a grub box blanket and oars believed to be theirs. Other Indians sighted the sloop founder near Point Hughes but could not help due to the storm.
