Thousand Korean Street Orphans Air-Lifted to Sanctuary
In Operation Kiddie Car a thousand Korean street orphans, ages six months to 11 years, were flown from Seoul to an island sanctuary. Fifteen twin-engine transports landed at Kimpo Air Base, pulling up with trucks to load the children, who showed signs of hunger and disease after months on the streets.
