Gemmill Indicted by Federal Grand Jury
Lynn James Gemmill an Alaska and Wenatchee lawyer was indicted on two counts for soliciting a $3,000 bribe from Cleo Patricia Wilkins for a suspended sentence and accepting $1,500 as payment. The indictment was among four true bills from a three day federal grand jury session in Seattle. Gemmill was arrested November 4 and had been free on bond.

School Concert Repeats Tonight In Juneau High
The vocal groups of Juneau Public Schools presented a diverse program titled Through the Shiriamans Window in the high school gym to a near capacity audience. The same program will be repeated tonight starting promptly at 7 o'clock. The free concert featured the Girls Glee Club Mixed Chorus Boys Glee Club Singing Debs and several grade school choruses with tableaux performed by lower grades. Nearly 300 sang before and after the tableaux with performers in white blouses and dark skirts or trousers.

The Methodist Church will present a Christmas program on the Sunday before Christmas at 7 30 p m. It features about 50 voices in the Junior Choir and nine men one woman and a lad in a simple dramatization of the Christus story titled That Most Precious Gift. Arthur Hedges stars as Joseph Mary Hougendohler plays Mary and a group of youths fill shepherd and wise man roles with Curtis Wingerson in charge of lighting.

Midnight Christmas Service at Holy Trinity
On Sunday midnight the Church of the Holy Trinity begins Christmas with a Festival Procession and a Choral Eucharist. The choir planned traditional carols with Merbecke music for Communion sung by Ernest Ehler and Miss Joanne Nowell. The church will be decorated with greenery and carnations. Candles will light the service and many are expected to attend. An extra Holy Communion at 1 10 mm on Christmas Day accommodates those unable to attend midnight.
