In Quebec Three Rivers Mrs Andrew Day and seven children aged one to 14 were found dead with throat injuries from an ax. Father Andrew Day was found alive in the streets with throat cut. police say he may have decapitated his victims. He lies in hospital and is expected to recover.
Rev HK W Sandy of the British Wesleyan Mission at Tayeh Hupeh has been seized by bandits and is held for a large ransom. Report reaches Hankow that the same bandits who abducted American missionary Rev Ulrich Kreutzen on November 11 may be behind Sandy’s capture with Kreutzen later released after a ransom payment.
