United States Ambassador Dwight W. Morrow returned from Mexico City to Englewood New Jersey to prepare for his January departure to London as American delegate to the Naval Conference. He will also confer with President Hoover in Washington on naval talks and with Mexican officials in New York City. His wife and daughter Elizabeth accompany him.
Mexican President elect Pascual Ortiz Rubio arrived in New York aboard a Pennsylvania Railroad train for talks with Mexican leaders including former President Plutarco Calles who is aboard the Bremen from Europe. Rubio said he would receive Ambassador Morrow this afternoon.

The Treasury Department endorses the four billion dollar funding plan for France's war debt to the United States. Two unmasked men robbed the Peoples National Bank in Richmond Kansas of about $2000 this forenoon. Vigilantes and citizens fired as the robbers fled, shattering several store windows. No injuries reported though shots hit the rear of the robbers' automobile.

Patrick J. Hurley of Oklahoma sworn in as Secretary of War in Washington D C yesterday afternoon. He succeeds the late James E. Good of New York. The oath was administered by Justice Harland F Stone of the U S Supreme Court after Senate confirmation earlier in the day.
