In Thurles Ireland a trainload of Bally Kinlar Camp internees arrived at the station. Bombs exploded injuring three released men, one seriously, with others lightly hurt. Reports say bombs were thrown as a greeting or maliciously. authorities investigate.
London reports all British weeklies in their general reviews praise the Anglo Irish peace treaty calling it the first great repudiation of force since the war. The Nation characterizes the accord as a notable shift in policy and a landmark in postwar diplomacy.
Four policemen were killed in Managua Nicaragua last night while attempting to break up a street fight between American Marines and a party of civilians. The clash occurred near the city center as tensions rose in the policing operation.
Seattle December 10 The King county Grand Jury reported liquor was bought with Port Commission funds. It said the commissioners should have known or could have learned it with proper attention to their duties. The jury called Port Commission management deplorable but returned no indictments.

Senate finance committee reached an agreement today on the foreign debt funding bill. Debts funded into obligations maturing not later than June 15, 1940, are to carry interest at 6 percent payable semi annually.
SAN DIEGO Cal December 10 Chief Machinists’ Mate M Kck McLean was instantly killed when his land plane crashed to the ground. Ensign J C Cline who piloted the machine was seriously injured in the accident.
Windsor Mills Quebec December 19 Leon Pion aged 16 confessed to the police today that he murdered his mother Mrs Joseph Pion by shooting her on Friday December 2 He had been detained as a material witness in the case

Tom Slaughter a death sentence inmate who escaped from the Arkansas penitentiary with five others was shot from behind and killed by J C Howard serving a forgery sentence. The shooting happened in Saline county hills. One of the escapees was fatally wounded and others captured with aid from Howard.
Governor Thomas C. McRae offered a $500 reward for the return of Tom Slaughter dead or alive after a sensational escape from the Arkansas penitentiary. Slaughter is a noted bandit under the death penalty and was missing since yesterday morning.

In a brief interview Dr Adolph Lorenz famed Austrian surgeon who came to the United States to treat crippled children said he is paying a gratitude debt to America for relief given to Austria. He made the remark today in New York indicating his intention to continue aiding the cause.
Governor Alexander J. Groesbeck in Lansing extended a formal invitation to Dr. Lorenz, the renowned Austrian surgeon then in New York, to visit the state.
