Cold Wave Ends Across Atlantic States

The first December cold wave moved seaward with a sharp edge on the eastern states. Insurance on Narrows Bridge Stolen in Seattle

Hallett French, a 44 year old Seattle insurance man, faced grand larceny charges for selling insurance on the Narrows suspension bridge and failing to report the insurance or premium. Divorces Granted in Ketchikan District Court

Fierce Fires Set by Nazi Planes Hit British Industry

The Rome Berlin Axis reports sharp new blows against Britain's sea power. German airmen bombed Birmingham setting 25 big fires in the English industrial center.
