Major General Sherman Miles testified that Lt. Gen. Walter Short's Hawaii reply to the Washington war warning on November 28 1941 was totally inadequate. He named Marshall Stimson and Gerow as officials who saw the message and noted earlier warnings that hostilities were possible and to take necessary reconnaissance actions. Investigators heard that Short's staff was informed before the attack that the Japanese consul was involved.

Chelan School Bus Found Five Bodies In It
Chelan Wash grief stricken parents of nine children said no further dragging and diving will be done after a school bus disaster last week claimed 16 lives.
