Douglas August 29 Jack Chesney a well known young man from Treadwell shot himself through the heart while hunting near Nevada creek with Arthur Sleek. Sleek reached Treadwell at 1 20 pm to summon help. Chesney worked at the Treadwell compressor and was brother to Ed Chesney a longtime Alaska Light and Power employee in Juneau. Rob Chesney has left for the States.
