British Navy visitors enjoy Juneau stay aboard Danae
About 400 officers and men from the British cruiser Danae arrived in Juneau Saturday afternoon and will stay until Thursday August 16. Events included a dance at the Mandarin Ballroom, glacier visits, golf, fishing, and a public reception at the Governor's House. Captain Knox-Little and ship officers will dine with the Juneau Chamber of Commerce, with plans for a public dance and open air concert at the Elks Club if weather permits. Army Planes Do Working At Fairbanks
United States Army Air Corps bombing planes remain at Fairbanks performing photographic work after returning to fair weather. A radio message at 11 stated continued photographing around Fairbanks due to clear weather, with departures possible later today or in the next days though not officially definite.
