Fire ravages Feldon Apartments in Florida blaze
Fire at Feldon Apartments early this morning destroyed the building, once the Juneau Apartments, owned by Sam Feldon on Calhoun Avenue. About 4 a.m. the flames filled the structure as firefighters battled six hose lines. Sparks drifted over nearby homes but heavy rains likely prevented a larger disaster. Tenants salvaged few belongings while residents and cafe workers aided firefighters. Origin of the fire remains undetermined. continuation noted on Page Eight.
