Fairbanks Man Loses $500 in Coin Match Bunco
Fairbanks man William Edmaiston reported two men duped him of 500 dollars by matching coins while he waited for a bus home to California. He first lost 50 dollars, then cashed 450 dollars in Travelers checks at a bank, all while traveling from Fairbanks, Alaska. Edmaiston had saved the money since March and had only eight cents left. He purchased his bus ticket before meeting the pair.

Railroad engineer sentenced to death in Yugoslavia wreck
