The Pan American baby clipper, planned Seattle to Juneau, is postponed to allow radio tests. Officials say it may depart tomorrow at the earliest if tests are satisfactory. Weather along the route is favorable though Seattle’s ceiling is around 1000 feet. A public notice will announce any change. a dinner for the crew is delayed.

Unidentified Man’s Bones Found Off Steese Highway

News reports that David Grant, formerly of Juneau, died in Kelso Washington on July 9 from pneumonia. He was a former Harri Machine Shop employee in Juneau and later lived on a farm at Yale Washington. He is survived by his wife Lovell Grant and a stepson William Clark.
