Humorist Will Rogers will ride with Wiley Post on a test flight toward Juneau Alaska en route to Siberia and Moscow. Rogers arrived from San Francisco and said he will not cross the Bering Strait while Post hunts.
William R. Selfridge of Ketchikan resigns as Alaska Game Commission Chairman after seven years. Earl N. Ohmer of Petersburg named to succeed him in the First Division. action confirmed by Secretary Wallace via telegram. Ohmer, a shrimp packer and mink farmer, noted for strong fur and game interests.
Steamer North Sea sailed at 11 last night with a full passenger list headed to Juneau.
