Veteran Sailing Ship Master on Last Voyage

Sixteen thousand nine hundred pounds of salmon and 12000 pounds of halibut were unloaded today at the Juneau Cold Storage Company wharf. The Fern Capt John Lowell delivered 19000 pounds of salmon for New England Fish Company and the Alms Capt A Barthes 2900 pounds of salmon to the same buyer. The T3380 Capt John Pademeister delivered 2000 pounds of salmon to Juneau Cold Storage. The Avon Capt Olaf Larsen carried halibut priced at eight cents per pound. New England Fish Company was the buyer.

Veteran kills wife and son in heat influenced act
Charles Hall, a veteran and mental patient at Fort Snelling Veterans Hospital, killed his wife and their five year old son with an axe and then wandered back to the hospital.
