Betts to Speak On Modern European Imperialism at Cornell
Raymond F. Betts, Grinnell College history professor, will open the 1968 69 Cornell College Visiting Lecturers in the Humanities series with a talk on Modern European Imperialism. The event is at 11 a.m. Tuesday September 24 in Armstrong Hall Little Theatre and open to the public. Betts, a noted specialist on French Africa, has authored several books and earned grants from the French Government and Ford Foundation.

Vietnam Day at Cornell Sets Peaceful Protests
Cornell students organize Parents' Day activities on October 3 to spotlight Vietnam. A silent march, singing, and a forum will mark Vietnam Day with peaceful expression. EIL Offers Fun Abroad for Juniors and Sophomores
The Experiment in International Living offers a semester abroad in Europe Asia or Africa under Wilbur West supervision. Eligible students with a 3.00 GPA can apply for the 1969 70 program. Each student develops with a faculty advisor a supervised research project to study the host country culture. Three academic courses are taken for credit during the semester.
