Cornell Parents Day Weekend Celebrates 15th Anniversary

Hilltop hosts Cornell parents for a full day of events on Oct. 22. Registration at Law Building starts the day, with lunch and football tickets available. The Cornell vs Monmouth game at Ash Park kicks off at 2 pm. An Alumni Gym dinner follows, and President Cole discusses the Centennial program. King Memorial chapel presents an evening concert under Dr P B Beckhelm.

Privilege Tickets Needed for Saturday Football Game

Students must show Privilege Tickets before admission to the football game on Saturday. The notice specifies entry requires proper authorization and ticket validation at the gates.

Larry Barrett Band To Headline Homecoming Dance

Larry Barrett and his Iowa City group will perform at the Be a 49eer Homecoming dance in the Alumn gym from 8:30 to 12:30 tomorrow night. The event features crownings, gifts to the royal court, awards for decorating, intermission entertainment, and refreshments in the lower cage as Barrett leads his 10 piece band fresh from Hollywood.

Dr Owen Lattimore will lecture on The Situation in Asia at 8:15 pm Friday October 21 in the King Me moral chapel. He is a noted authority on Asia, professor at Johns Hopkins, and has served as political adviser to Chiang Kai shek.

A 530 PM all school barbecue opens this year's homecoming with Pfeiffer and Bowman dining halls closed for the event. A 7 PM chapel pep rally precedes a torch parade bonfire and snake dance from the chapel to Ash Park ending with a large bonfire. Alumni and visitors may attend with usual dining hall prices.

A Friday outdoor barbecue in Ash Park at 5:30 kicks off activities including a snake dance and bonfire, with campus events continuing Saturday morning and afternoon featuring sports, a dance, and a theatre production.
