Cornell Donkey Debuts At Cornell Campaign Club Formed

Charles Christianson elected president of a Cox Roosevelt club at Cornell to back the league issue in the campaign. The group, largely professors and students, meets Wednesdays at 6 40 pm in the YMCA chapel to discuss league matters and other campaign topics. Membership lists numerous names among faculty and students.

Cornell Iowa Meet Schedule Sets Early Cross Country Work

The Cornell cross country season opens with a four mile Ink's Pond workout led by Schell. Coach Finger plans races against Iowa on November 6 and negotiations with Grinnell for a meet on the Grinnell game day. The team aims to improve times and avenge last year's Iowa defeat.

Keyes Lectured At Sioux City On Indian Cultural Areas

Professor Charles R. Keyes of Cornell college spoke at the Sioux City public library on The Cultural Areas of the Early Iowa Indian before about 100 people. He stated Iowa comprises four cultural regions: northeast Davenport middle and northwest, each with distinct artifacts. The northeast district is known for remarkable animal effigies made of dirt, representing various animals.

Cornell faculty votes on party support at weekly dinner

At a Jordan House dinner last Wednesday, 15 faculty members debated election stances. Results showed 11 Democratic, 0 Republican, and 0 Uncertain among those voting, with many Democrats also Republicans in practice. A professor urged informed, independent voting beyond family history and party labels.
