Prof Williams Honored by Trustees at Cornell College
The board unanimously elected Prof S N Williams emeritus professor of civil and sanitary engineering and arranged a suitable pension at the June meeting. He began at Cornell on December 10 1872 as assistant professor of mathematics and served forty years in civil engineering, including eighteen years as librarian. He will reside at Mt Vernon and aid church college and town.

Anti-Suffragettes Win Hockey Game 5 1
The Anti-Suffragettes defeated the Suffragettes 5 to 1 in a Friday hockey match. Captains Flossy McLean Clara Smickls Ruth Willims and Louis Marr led the teams. After the game the losers hosted a picnic supper for the winners as alumni notes highlighted enduring school spirit by Hon. M. J. Tobin of Vinton who spoke at the morning mass meeting.

Homecoming Luncheon a Great Cornell Event at Gym
The Cornell homecoming luncheon at the gym drew over five hundred attendees. Purple and white decor highlighted buffet service served by Senior Council members and helpers. Speeches praised the day as one of Cornell’s greatest, with calls for annual observance. An organ recital by Professor Wm. E. Lamale is set for next Tuesday at 7 30 in the Auditorium.
