The annual Homecoming luncheon will be served in the Alumni Gymnasium Saturday at noon. Dormitory boards will host meals as usual, with caterers handling the dining this year. The Methodist Episcopal church ladies aid society leads the event, urging dorm residents with guests to attend to ease congestion.

No Society Reunions Tonight After Program
Contrary to custom no society reunions will be held Saturday morning at 11 o clock. Reunions now follow the joint society program tonight and all Homecomers receptions will take place at halls or meeting places after the program. The change was made to avoid unplanned reunions.

Unidentified fire early Tuesday destroyed the north side barber shop owned by E. A. Curtis and Mrs. E. A. Hutson's millinery, with heavy losses and uninsured stock. The Hawk-Eye plant suffered fire and water damage to paper, wiring, and machinery, halting publication plans for Homecoming week.

Grinnell College cross country team may or may not compete against the Purple and White on Homecoming Day. Coach Sherm Finger said the decision remained unsettled at 8 this morning after the Missouri Valley meet where no Grinnell runners finished ahead of Cornell’s first man. Professor Frederick M. McGaw of the Mathematics department and Mrs. McGaw returned Sunday from a multistate Orient trip as delegates to the World Sunday School Convention in Tokio Japan. They traveled with 113 delegates and 19 speakers aboard the Mount Eagle and arrived in Yokohama July ninth amid a brisk welcome.
