Devereaux Recital Promises Noted Organ Program

Eugene Devereaux of the conservatory of music presents an organ recital at 4:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel auditorium. It is his third Corn hus recital within the year. He holds the Fellow rank in the American Guild of Organists, a distinction shared by few Iowa artists. The program features Bach’s Prelude and Fugue in B minor and Powell Weaver’s The Squirrel, repeated by popular demand.

Mock Legislature Convened Today at Midwest Conference

The model legislature from Midwest athletic conference schools met in Madison Wisconsin with four delegates from each school. Cornell sent Francis Allen Dick Grumman Bob Nelson Max Miller and lobbyists Phil Hanna and Wallace Tripp. They proposed bills on tear gas use in labor disputes neutrality and prohibition and held a caucus with Ripon to coordinate actions.

Renowned Eva Jessye Choir To Perform At Cornell Tuesday

A Cornell audience will hear the Eva Jessye choir on Tuesday November 14 at 8 p m. The program blends popular modern classics such as St Louis Blues Summertime and It Ain t Necessarily So with dramatic choral pieces. The group has wide Broadway film and radio credentials and trains chords praised by the Los Angeles Times for rhythm tone and ensemble skill.

A Night In Old Vienna at Cornell Gym

Cornell students prepare a transformed gymnasium experience called A Night In Old Vienna. The event features German band music by Jake Klimo and his ensemble, Tyrolean costumes, schnitzelbank sing along, and German decor with root beer served as beer.
