Dean Harry J Carman of Columbia University will be on campus November 16 to 19 as advisor to future graduate students. He earned a Columbia PhD in 1919 and has served as professor and dean, with roles on the New York City Board of Education. He will attend a faculty meeting, speak at chapel and classes, and lead a general education meeting with 100 faculty representatives from Iowa colleges.

McCollister to Be Featured Soloist at Fall Concert
Crete senior piano student McCollister, mentored by Miss Helen Venn, will be the featured soloist at the Cornell College Fall concert on Sunday November 13 at 4 p.m. in King Memorial chapel. The Cornell College choir and orchestra will perform works by Barber, Tchaikovsky, Brahms, Thompson, Schutz and Palestrina, with Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor as the soloist’s piece.
