Varsity Meets Des Moines at Ash Park Today

Halloween Parade at Bowman Hall Adds Spooky Fun

Witches arrive at Bowman Hall on Friday with black cats and pumpkins for a costume review of residents. Highlights include Jack Spratt and wife, the Jarley Wax Works doll, Coe vs Lisbon football antics, and the Stunt Family performances. the showcase ends with a witches scene and a tease of continued coverage.

Famous Cornell Athletes Wed in Elegant Home Ceremony

Ruth Lucile Berryman and Frank Grover Coppess wed at the Berryman home on a Wednesday noon in October. About seventy guests attended as Ralph Lee led “A Ballad” and “Believe Me” before Lohengrin’s wedding march. The bridal party featured Alma Cutler as bridesmaid and Willis Coppess as best man, with Ruth in white brocaded crepe meteor and a shower bouquet. Reverend Lewis Hartsough and Dr. W. C. Keeler officiated in a parlor canopy of autumn foliage and chrysanthemums.

Botts Wins Declamatory Contest at Adelphian Stag

Botts won the declamatory contest with an English oration on What is Man. Five contestants spoke in German Swedish French and Dutch or mock Dutch. Prof Stout conducted the Stag Special as the Adelphians hosted a three course banquet at Star Hall with Wilcox orchestra.
